Basic Industrial Safety: Forklift Safety, Electrical, Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Fall Protection
 |
OSHA's safety training requirements for powered industrial truck operators help prevent an estimated 11 deaths and 9,500 injuries per year, plus $135 million in employee costs.
Forklift Safety courses include differences in power machines, forklift operation, forklift safety, maintenance, recharging, etc.
Electrical hazards cause 23% of all industrial fires.
Industrial Electricity courses cover fundamentals of electricity, laws & regulations, electrical drawings, relays & contactors, motor control circuits, transformers, and so on.
122 deaths and 28,400 lost work days are attributed to improper machine safeguarding each year.
Learn Lockout/Tagout overview and definitions, drain and isolate all energy sources, verify the absence of energy, shut down procedures, start-up procedure, annual inspections, authorized employees and affected employees.
There are over 65 fatalities and 6,000 serious injuries each year in confined spaces. Employees who work in confined spaces face increased risk of exposure to serious physical injury from hazards such as entrapment, engulfment, and hazardous atmospheric conditions.
Confined spaces training includes: identification, potential hazards, hazards eliminate plans, establishment of entry permit system, testing of atmospheric conditions, development of an emergency response plan.
Over 10,000 people are killed every year as a result of falls, & 200,000 to 300,000 people are disabled. 85% of all falls that occur on the job result in lost work time.
